The action camera market is packed! What's your budget?

The Yi and Yi 4K are the best bangs for your bucks on the market. I have a GoPro Session as well.

Is it as good as an actual AC or will it be different because it doesn't have all the keys features the camera would have...

Xiaomi Yi.

I have one like you showed in the picture with HD and then I have the 4K one. An even newer 4K+ one is out.

I also bought a refurbished GoPro Session (4 not the newest which is the 5) on eBay from the GoPro store for something like $100 or $110 shipped. The quality is not the best on it.

I would put the Yi or even the Session 4 above the Mobius for not much more money.

The Mobius is tiny, that's the only advantage it has. A gopro in it's case is quite heavy and a pain to mount on an RC.

Thanks..... But I kinda figured it wouldn't be as good as an actual camera... I do have an old cell phone , I've tried the mounting it, but meh, it sucked, would bounce all ova the place.....lol, zip-tied it ,use s shoe lace to try to keep it down , failed... So now for an actual camera.
Thanks again

The Session is tiny and doesn't need a case.

The last 20 or so vids were shot with Turnigy 2K HD Camera "Black Edition". I have/had a Ekin 4K H9 and it is Garbage above 1080p 30fps. Someday i will try and Xiami as mentioned above because they have great reviews. I would like a GoPro but can;t justify paying that for basically the same quality picture. I see a lot of used GoPro Hero 3&4+ Black for $2-300 with a shirt ton of accesories on Fleaby. Even at that price i would rather have Qty 2 NoPro's. Keep in mind and i could be wrong but don't believe YT supports 4K and more than likely neither does your computer. So, i shoot in the highest quality 1080P 60fps the interwebs and my PC can view.

Lots of good ideas here already, but Turnigy has a bunch of cameras as you've pointed out some are very good.

Yes, I've lost data on cheap cards, even had high dollar flash drives DOA and die after only couple months use though.

I have a GoPro hero 3 I use for everything. I was thinking on a session until I found the RunCam 3. It looks just like the GoPro session but a 1/3 of the price. They record all the way up to 1080p (I think could go higher) but 1080 is all you really need

The refurbished GoPro Session (4 not the newest version which is 5) is on sale today for $99 shipped on eBay. It's great for onboard shots. Below is an onboard video in my Ascender.

Well embed isn't working so here's the link to the video onboard my Ascender.

Can't comment on every single 'cheap' action cam that's on the market now, but make sure you check youtube reviews and actual video comparison reviews before buying.

The low cost of some of the cams are appealing and their specs comparable to a Go-pro. However, in side by side comparisons of actual footage quality there's often big differences. For example, I often film in low light situations and this is one aspect where the Go-pro video quality can't be matched by many of the cheaper options. Also during testing some of the cheaper cams didn't appear to be as robust, with many cameras having issues or dying when being put through their paces as an 'action' cam.

In the end after reviewing many different cameras I found a great deal on a new Go-pro that was only marginally more expensive than the cheaper no-name copies. Was a no brainer for me.
