There is an esc one step up from the one i have that is programmable...it's the highest level reedy sport sensoless esc...and it's under $100 and is still 3s compatible! So when i really want to break traction i can, though you don't need 3s to do that with this system...i think i've found me a new brand to deal with for normal use! I mean the 4p 550 is only 50mm long most 550's are 65-70mm long, and it performs satisfactory.

If push comes to shove with esc's i will put this one in the slash 2wd MT with the 2150kv on 3s...(it's an 80amp esc, which someone suggested to run with that motor, i agree it's also closer than 60amps, just want to try what i got first)...and just Flat out Buy the sc900bl esc...

But yes i joined this site for crawler purposes i have a CC01 yet right now as it sits its a rearwheel drive drifter (but like i said as it sits) and found it interesting...it's not like most other sites(other than my run-ins with eepee n setting bad vibes with me) it's pretty cool...i don't see why a moderator would suggest leaving a site just bc i asked E-technical questions...general ones at that, for technology that is still in the making and trying to figure how to best use it...if it doesn't add up ask questions is what i say...don't get mad if i call B.S. though with that said i don't abuse my rc's...i don't like to overpower them. My money doesn't grow on tree's every buy is an investment.

I think he more suggested you leave because you asked a question that really sounded suspect in the first place. Then barked like a little puppy at anyone who made a suggestion. Sounds like you need to do some trouble shooting and learn a bit more about electronics before buying another motor or esc.I have a duel motor summit that runs longer on 5000mah hill climbing than your little SC truck so either your breaking the laws of physics or something's messed up. Seems like people tried to help you and you mostly wanted to tell them how right you are and how wrong they are. You didn't have the brains to get the RC to work by yourself so why would you be doling out advice to these guys ?

Your like that guy at a party that nobody wants around but everyone is to polite to ask to leave.

BTW. i get more than 1 hour out of a 5800mAh 3s 65C - Yeti CC1410 3800 56/16, MMX and 11lbs - with approx 60% of the runtime 80-100% throttel (love the datalog )
Esc is very undersized... It got up to 150+* in 6min...i don't think the amp rating on this motor is correct....all it does is wheely... Not what i was looking for.... I don't even think 80amps would be enough to supply sufficient power to the motor... It's a powerhouse....it's going to eat runtime...might have to go back to 48p gears so that i can get a higher gear ratio.....

And no it does not like 2s...at all, and with the higher ratio i don't think it's going to like the 3s either....

I think you might be right on esc choice... I've been out of the brushless seen for a few years...if you were wondering why i thought you were exaggerating i bit too much...sorry

But all-in-all they all were right answers...just some i was not looking for, for my application...and some that were kinda far fetched to me bc of my past experience with these types of motors...i haven't run brushless in years...a lot has changed, and i'm glad to be back to them now....

125* for both motor and esc (with no fans) after 25mins on about a half charged 3s 4500mah 90c battery with the gearing i "said" i was going to use...it's exactly what i was looking for.. Yes i need to upgrade the esc but not immediately. I've got my 1/8 proline bigblox wheels in x2 compound on "for now"
