Default Threadlock ???

Sorry for the dumb question, but , does it have to be a RC threadlock,or any threadlock will work metal to metal , or am I wrong ? Sorry and thanks again .

Any threadlocker should work metal to metal. You might want to look at "purple" as it is specifically for thread sizes smaller than 1/4" dia. that may need occasional adjustment. I used to use "blue" all the time but from what I can understand, purple does the same job on small fasteners that blue does on the larger diameters. Use "red" only if you NEVER want to remove the fastener. Generally requires heat to be able to loosen a bolt installed with red threadlocker.

A relatively unknown threadlocker is "green". It has a specific use and is comparable to red in that it needs heat to remove the fastener.

If you use something too strong like red Loctite then you may not be able to remove it without breaking something.

Green is penetrating, its designed to use on already made threads.
