Hello! Been in and out of RC most of my life. New to crawling and loving it so far. After doing some research, mainly on this site I went with the Trx4 and very happy with it. Now to decide on my next one... |

Hello everyone.. Jeremy from Rocklin, CA. I have a GMade R1, Axial XR-10, a few custom chassis (CKRC Droid, Underground Crawler Viper 1) and some Berg V2 Axles. Looking forward to gaining more knowledge and hopefully get to crawl with a few of the local subs on here.

Keeping the weight as close to the frame as much as one can. Besides offcambers...I see a huge difference in almost straight up and down climbs. It stays glued to the rocks. I installed an adjustable shock tower. I drilled and tapped the highest spot I could. That lowers the body pretty good. I then grafted two proline bodies. Keeping the bed fairly low vs the Mercedes higher profile. The problem with TRX crawlers is the stock shock towers stopping the bed from getting lower. Some install another shock system. Cantelever...I just cut an oval in the bed and let the towers protrude a little. I could have gone lower but I love the ESS motor sound speaker...so that rests under the hood. One could pick any cab and make a flat bed also. This is my Rock bashing body. I have a more detailed one that I keep for social crawling with a driver and accesaries.

No you can not. You end up with no torque, super speed, and very short run time.

Noob here! I finally got into the forums, yeh! I currently have Power Racing Komodo Rocker. It was cool for the day (10 years ago) but it's quit outdated these days and I'm looking at scale rig. I'm in South San Jose and happy to meet up for some crawling fun. Jerold |

n00b here so I am posting in teh thread- Got started on this stuff because some folks in a park by my house drove my dogs crazy with rc cars one summer afternoon last year. Bought a cheap car from amazon and killed it in about 5 weeks- a lot of runtime and I was new to driving them so ran into lot of stuff Bought another one- killed it in another month or so. Looked around at stuff online - and local supplies for when stuff breaks! - and bought a Slash 4x4 to play with the dogs- they love it. Had to get a 1/16 Slash because one dog was scared of the 1/10th version. Got a cc01 Early Bronco because for ME to try out and I like that a lot but wanted to try something better for rougher ground. (cc01 is great for scale looks and scale performance, but...) Got the unassembled TRX4 sport kit and liking it, though I do want the 2speed trans. Both slashes have new bodies since my dogs at the originals... That is my story and my fleet. Will put pics up eventually. I have read a bunch of things here and appreciate having an easy source of searchable info. |

Hi, Just a noob, looking at a forum, waiting to learn how he can modify his new truck. I saw a video about the Kyosho Mini-Z Jeep about two weeks ago, and thought it'd be a great alternative to buying a real truck and ruining it. Alas, I didn't want to spend $200 for an initial investment, so I got an Axial SCX24 Jeep at a local place in San Carlos, California! Even better, they didn't price gouge like Amazon is doing. Got an extra battery yesterday to extend the fun. Already want to get some RC4WD beadlock wheels and tires, once they show up in stock online. Pretty fun little hobby, and even the girlfriend likes it! |
