I'm Dan from the Raleigh NC area. Unfortunately the factory I was working at shut down and moved to Mexico so to fill some of my downtime I picked up 2 Exceed Maxstone 10s for my wife and I. Figured they would be a decent start and we can build up from here. Thinking about going scaler style with the trucks though not 100% sure right now. Only thing I know is she wants a VW Bug body painted pink and purple, so that will be my first item on the list.

The trucks should be here Friday and we can't wait to get them going.

Thought I'd finally introduce myself on here. Usually just lurk around for information.

I'm from the Sacramento area, new to the forum, not really new to RC. Used to race back when I was younger, grew up, built real cars for a while. Now I'm married with a kid on the way so back to building toys in the garage that I can hide from my wife. lol.

As for crawlers I have an XR10 that I setup for comp, decided there was too much drama doing that so now I just go out for fun here and there. A while back some chic said my comp rig was "cute" and looked like a little turtle. lol. So I changed the whole damn thing to look like a Wraith. Basically bought a chassis and fab'd up everything to use all my existing XR10 parts. Not totally "scale" but crawls good and looks cool. Everything is there except drive shafts. haha.

Whats up guys,

If you start a thread like that someone will most likely send you to this thread. Guilty..... If this thread wasn't in the "General Crawlers" section I'm thinking these threads would be eliminated... Just my 0.02

Give us the general info:
Who you are? Arthur
What kind of rig you have? Brushless E-Maxx, Just bought a Wraith kit.
Where you live? Calgary, Alberta

Looking for info as I build my wraith. Seems to be a lot of good information here. Looking forward to snooping around.

Smile Re: Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE... so I shall.

Hey all,

Been in the hobby for about three years now, signed up, but spent too much time on a local forum setting up trailing meets (hard to do here lol). However, I have visited the site numerous times, but was too lazy to sign in when all I was doing was checking out various build threads. Anyway, I have really zeroed in on the scaling side of things. And who knows, perhaps one day I will give Pardon my Noob a run for his money!

Anyway, I'm long overdue for being more than just a spectator!!! Having said that, I hope to post up a couple of builds that I am working on and looking forward to interacting with the great folks in this community!

Oh yeah, what I'm trailing, a modified Brusier, SCX-10 Cherokee, H2, and Honcho, and a CC01 and TF2 rigs that are still on the bench. (the build projects )

Howdy all,

I'm relatively new to the crawler scene, but have lurked here pretty extensively. Currently I only own a Losi Micro Trekker that I have modded with all the cheap tricks from the Micro Modders Bible and switched over to lipo. Dramatic performance increases all around. Here's the little guy in his natural element.

I paid the subscriber fee in hopes to gain access to the classifieds section more quickly as I'm looking to add a 1/10 scale crawler to the stable.

Hey i am new to the rc scene and am trying to find the best price and a reliable rc to buy. I would like to get a 1/8th scale but will look at the 1/10th too. I cant decide between a crawler or a buggy, so if anyone can help that would be appreciated. Thanks
