I cant recall anyone selling just that upgrade part for Axial's shocks, but honestly, your best bet is to upgrade the whole shock. They have far more problems than just that cap.

What's the go-to best bang for the buck shock for Axial?

Traxxas 2660 or 2661, or Dravtech's. A little large for scale purists but there is not a smoother shock out there for $30-38 a pair.

Dual SMT10 shocks!! seems to not roll over as much, but i need a lighter weight oil, as 20WT is too hard. The white look on the plastic is a NON-STICK coating. I'll coat the shocks next, as its nice when NOTHING sticks to the truck. mud and such just blasts off with a burst from the air compressor.

everyone has there own prefrence for motors, and i really like the 9kv in this truck. The motor has long legs, but geared right, its a perfect crawler. I can go slower than my kids and they have 19t brushed motors.

tip for anyone looking or needing a easy shock build/fix.

2.5mm shim on the TOP of the 2stage pistons can allow them to actualy work. upper shock shaft pic has the shim, while lower is stock with NO shim.

Team associated shock (2.5mm)washers Fit the best in Axial's shock as they are a hair smaller and dont contact the shock pistons.

tamiya damper bushings keep the upper cap from leaking and also help bound/rebound. I glue them in with a tiny penpoint of CA. ( rubber CA is my personal fav)
