Replica of my father's TOYOTA LC70 Hi everybody! I just pick up a Deadbolt today at the store. This beautiful car is waiting for the Toyota LC70 killerbody anyway ordered. The idea is to build the my father's truck. I have to say, I'm 38 years old and this is my very first RC car, so it is a challenge for me. I don't even know how to choose the right battery!! I appreciate your help while I move forward with this project!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9e9dbc992f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...601561193b.jpg Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

Well, finally I got the body! I have done the initial work with sand paper and put the primer on. The kit is amazing! Tomorrow color paint will arrive to continue!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ad78338f47.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...bbfc16c88a.jpg Quote:
https://recreationhobbiescenter.com/...-hard-body-kit Hi! This is my progress today (I know I'm slow, but this is my first RC car ever!). I'm not understanding how the lights needs to b connected, so I guess I have to watch some YouTube videos today.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...26fe0c56ec.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a61da658e1.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ef1b93df98.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6aaeb7a841.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3da71fca8b.jpg Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
Re: Replica of my father's TOYOTA LC70 Boomracing 1.55 tires are great for your rig! https://www.boomracingrc.com/index.p...t=1.55%20Tires These are the closest rims I could find and these are not budget oriented, but are a great combo for the 1.55 tires. https://www.amainhobbies.com/rc4wd-b...SABEgITRPD_BwE I'm not sure what kind of led controller you got but usually there's a receiver plug to go in the receiver(don't plug it in backwards) and plug the led plugs to the controller then put the LEDs to your body. Imo it's a butt for me to use led on bodies since I have to plug them in everytime when I want to run my rig. Sent from my B1-770 using Tapatalk |
Hello People!!! I am very excited about how the things are going with my project. Yesterday I finally received the paint which I ordered with the color code from the original Toyota. So i was ready to paint and I started. First I paint the interior of the engine area, the front, the bomper and the lateral parts with matt black (Tamiya TS-6). Remember, I am a newbie, so I think that i have over spend a lot of money in paint supplies, next time i will go straight to Tamiya paint because that paint is amasing, the finish and the short time to dry is perfect. Once that the interior was painted I prepared the body for the first coat of the final color Paint (Dupli-Color BTY1619 Magnetic Gray Metallic Exact-Match). I wait for a couple of hours and then the 2nd coat. I received yesterday the interior kit and the instalation mount from Killerbody, but i realized that I needed to order the holders for the led lights, it sucks because is going to arrive until next monday. I am very happy with my progress, nothing bad for a newbie, remember this is my first RC car ever!!! if you have any suggestion and comments you are more than welcome! here the photos: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...831036c7c3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...dfe7992446.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...f25948ef93.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c86fefe39e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...abce526677.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5f460878f5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac95fc2c4b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac4a02b15f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...86be7a70b0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...63c87b3be2.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...64b5e86c06.jpgI am almost finish woth paint work, and started the interiorhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...737532a0a4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...dc02142879.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...94a2713980.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4aeb83c35c.jpg Here we have more photos of about my progress. I'm so happy! Tonight I could put the entire body with the chassis. I can see that the rear axis need to go back, and probably the rear shocks need some adjustment in the position. I have no clue how to do it, but I'll do it. The blue fuel tank is one more detail to make my father smile. He used to carry always one of those barrels.
