Default Tundra RC4WD

Hi guys. Nothing overly crafty here, just wanted this overpriced motor and trans in a Tundra. Leafs are from china but longer and softer. Not too worried about durability with the rc4wd stuff, just something to build. Thanks for looking.

Tamiya tundra chassis is not a great chassis to work with though.

Back in 2009 (when I was doing this as a hobby/fun only) I designed this chassis for Tundra. Not many people bought it and it was discontinued very quickly. Too early I guess...

I don't think I've ever seen that one. At least I don't remember seeing it. Much better than straight C-channels.

Yes I was talking (email) with someone on your team a month ago and he basically said that. I just figured there were alot if high lift nuts out there. Its not super scale, but I was drawn to it for some reason. Your stuff is awsome. I really wanted your trans/case combo, but didn't think there was enough room for the front drive shaft.

Maybe its time to tey that chassis again...

Thanks Jato. Transfer case looks a little funny in there....

What are you guys using to take up the space in the leaf spring eyes when not using shouldered bolts?

Back in the day I used to cut up an aluminum tube that was the right size. But that was when you had to buy an expensive Tamiya parts bag to get the shoulder bolts.
These days RC4WD probably sell spares.

Wheelbase is off a tad with these leafs, doubt i will do much about it aside from some trimming. Cant move the body much without hitting the air filter. Dont mind that failed paint attempt either
