x3. I used to only have 2s, but after I started using 3s, I'll be sticking to it.

I didn't sell off my 2s though. I keep those around for my non-crawler R/Cs.

Good. Try stock first and see how it is.

Non-crawlers get 3s or 4s.

LOL, most of my non-crawler are Tamiya & Kyosho retro & touring R/Cs.... probably not going to stick too much power in those.

Yes, stock first, then change to suit your needs. Seems like a 12T 5-slot motor is about a27T 2-slot, so a couple of teeth down on the pinion you might like to slow it down some.

But yeah, you can adjust the throttle map with the controller. I go full soft on everything to start, then up them as desired. Ignore the braking settings when using a drag brake. I like full braking, but at a slower application. Same for start punch.

My buddies with stock ESC's get that deer-in-the-headlights look when they try my rigs. So smooth. It's like cheating. LOL

Am I the only one running 4S and 6S in my TRX-4's with Tekin ROC 412HDs? I have 4S on the 1900KV and 6S on the 1200KV - its slow as balls but has torque for days.
