3mm Mod 1 Pinion: Rock Rey + Holmes Hobbies Motor

Where can I find one?? I have a Holmes 2700kv Sensored motor I'm all excited to put to use with a Mamba X in my Rock Rey, but I can't find a 3mm (or 1/ Mod 1 pinion... Do I need to use a reducer sleeve?

With how common the Holmes Motors are around here, I'm confused as to how this has not been discussed or mentioned anywhere... Am I missing something?

A reducer bushing isn't ideal, but it will work and does seem to be your only option.

I finally found this discontinued item. Will give it a whirl. For now I'll just install the ESC with the current motor until that arrives.

I just put her back together with a Holmes Hobby TrailMaster ESC (based on the Mamba Max I believe the name is?) with the stock motor and it's already like a different rig. Still cogs, but not nearly as bad, and is very smooth throughout.

Can't wait to get the sensored motor in it! **As I type this on my phone I realized I didn't hook up the sensor wire for the motor when the pinion comes in so I'm gonna have to rip the rig/body apart to change the motor due only to that....

Just following up that I got the sleeve but a didn't feel comfortable (and it stripped on me ultimately as well). So I got a cheap (but awesome) motor with a 5mm shaft from rc juice (ego shipped faster than Amazon order to door btw (no joke).

Anyway - got it all installed and it's flipping awesome from just little test runs.

I just ran into a similar issue on my rey. I wanted to put in an HH puller pro 540 BL 2700k for the slow speed crawling. I had seen a few people had put this motor in so i just bought it without looking.

Anyways, i found these:

I dont know how they will be but i like that its a 9T. Lowest i could find was 10T before, but since its gunna be a trail rig im kinda glad about 9T.

I got these in today and they seem decent. They fit the 3mm shaft on my puller pro nicely with no slop. I havent put the motor in yet because i need to modify the mount plate to work with the 9T.
