| AXIALFEST 2018 vehicle spec rules question
Is the SSD scale transmission and tcase considered "axial gear format" per the adventure class vehicle rules? I'm building a truck for axialfest and already have this mocked up. I just want to run the trails down there, no competing or anything? If its not legal for tech inspection can I still run it? |

yup been there read that, thanks guys. And I emailed axial off their contact list no response yet. That really spawned my question the "aftermarket transmission housing using axial gear format" The SSD scale transmission is not setup the same as the standard scx10 trans, BUT could it be considered similar to the scx10.2 kit trans? or maybe yeti? I cant imagine not being allowed to run it when I get there. Its an ALL axial based truck with lots of SSD parts and SSD is a pretty big aftermarket company that might get a little peaved that their parts are not allowed at axialfest. IDK Im gonna take it and a wraith and run them both. lol Last edited by mudhog007; 04-29-2018 at 05:44 PM. |

Now that it's way past and I'm wondering for the future... was the ssd trans allowed to pass tech this year? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

I never got a answer back about home made frame rails ether that and the price jump killed it for me so i dident go im alittle but hurt over it im not feeling warm and fuzzy about axial these days especialy since others are coming out with stuff i like better i know theres alot going on with axial but i would think they would still be appriciative of there customers even those that dont run there rtrs and use there parts to build our own rigs

| Re: AXIALFEST 2018 vehicle spec rules question It appeared to me that the tech was probably for racing, or concours, in which case it may or may not have passed. I wasn't doing either with my truck. At tech in I put the truck on the table, dude put a sticker on the windshield and went to the next truck in line without even looking my truck over.

Yeah, I've been to AxialFest the past 2 years. They're not really concerned about Adventure class. That's the class that is most about just have'n fun. Also, be sure to check out the Parade they do. It's pretty tame but it's awesome to see what people bring out. You can see a few of my Rigs in YouTube video's of the Parades AxialFest 2017 (My Monster AX10 Truck) AxialFest 2018 (a couple of my SCX10's) |

Nice, I did see your wheelie machine on the trailer playing around while in line for the parade.

So you did check out the Parade. Like I said, pretty tame but it's just really cool to see what people bring out. Yeah, I got a lot of questions at AxialFest about my SCX10 Gasser. Eventually I'll put a Thread up here about it. |

My boys and I walked the parade, it was our first time there so we had to. HAHA. We were towards the front so when we hit the end, I turned around and got 7 or 8 minutes of video of the rigs and people behind us.
