Default Upgrading help

I’m really new to the RC world. I just bought a bomber. I’m looking at getting a castle 1410 3800 with the mamba x pro.
What other upgrades will I need to do once I put that in.

Also. What is better the 1410 3800. Or the “slate” castle. I’m looking to do mostly crawling. But also wanna be able to go fast too.

Thanks for the help.

I can't speak to the Bomber directly in terms of other mods, but I can make an ESC/Motor recommendation. I would definitely go with the Mamba-X. For a combo "go-fast" and "crawler" rig like the Bomber, you can use the AUX lead to adjust drag brake on the fly. Running wide open and bashing, dial drag brake down or off. Crawling, crank it up. The other nice, newer feature in the Castle firmware is the drag brake ramping feature. It allows you to ramp up how the drag brake hits as it engages. Once I got this dialed in on my Wraith Based Rock Bouncer, it was a game changer.

In terms of a motor, I would recommend a Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro 3500kv. This should be the sweet spot for you. Start up will be smooth for crawling and it will also give you plenty of wheel speed.
