| Need hex adapter for Maxstone 5
Major noob here running a 1/5 scale Maxstone 5. Don't care much for the OEM wheels and tires so I bought 40 series wheels and mudder tires and like a dummy I forgot about hex size. The Maxstone has a 23mm hex but the new wheels are 17mm. Is there an adapter available so I can use the new wheels and tires? I don't want to send them back unless there is no way I can use them. I did some searching but I am not sure what I am looking at. I see many adapters with extensions but I don't need an extension, I just need a simple adapter so I can use 17mm wheels on 23mm hubs. Any and all responses will be appreciated. Thanks. |

i think your gona need to remove the 23mm hexs and add 17mm hexs maybe extenders also those stock 23mm wheel hexes are almost 2" long side note if you are having axle shaft issues the yeti xl rear shafts can be modified to fit inside the axles and stop snaping butter soft axle shafts that are always out.of stock Last edited by ferp420; 03-24-2019 at 08:40 PM. |

Ferp, Thanks for that info. I have not had any axle issues yet over about 40 hours of use. I did cook the servo though most likely from running in fairly deep snow.
