Hey guys pretty new to this bit I’ve been working on my first crawler, trying to make a mini of my jeep used a maisto diecast jeep 1/18 body and a rc crawler Gelande 2 frame and electronics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Still need to put details like door handles, mirrors etc back on. Built a metal roll cage because plastic one wasn’t holding up very well. Idk let me know what you guys think |

| ![]() ![]() ![]() A little before and after. I had to go with the maisto because I had a hard time finding TJ bodies. I like the diecast I think it looks great, but paint does chip off of it pretty easy if you’re too rough with the truck. I loved the size of the little 1/18 size crawlers and not knowing much about them I thought the Gellande ii seemed like a pretty well reviewed crawler so I went with it. Huge shoutout to this post My 1:18 RC4WD Gelande 11 with Maisto Jeep Wrangler body. For just showing me that it was possible to put the two together. I hope I did enough differently with it that everyone doesn’t consider me a copycat or a ripoff. I think I will also take his idea of putting a Tonneau cover over the back to cover up the battery |

I really like how with the opening hood/ tailgate (after I get tonneau cover on) I can get to the power switch and the battery charging cord without tearing the entire truck apart. ![]() ![]() ![]() One thing I don’t really like is the tailgate doesn’t snap shut tight and stay closed it’s being held shut with a little dab of automotive butyl at the moment. Dies anyone know of like a little clasp or magnet latch that would hold the tailgate shut I could mount back there? Last edited by Gnmetalprl; 07-12-2019 at 08:10 PM. Reason: Accidentally swearing while typing the word “shut “ |

This is your first crawler? That looks awesome, those bodies look great and fit the chassis great. And a nice, clean 1:1.
