Default Need help w/futaba 3pv channel 3 BUTTON

I’m using channel 3 with a heyok winch controller. I can use the switch on the side behind the wheel to control the winch, BUT it’s in a awkward spot that makes it almost impossible to use it properly. I can go in to the menu and assign BUTTON 3 to run channel 3, but it won’t make the winch do anything. The button is in a better position to use than the switch. I’ve read the manual and I’ve searched here to no avail.

Did you make sure to remove the aux settings from the old button to the new button? essentially assigning button three to be aux1 3 position.
