| axial smt10 axle gears
does anybody know if there's upgrade gears for the Axial Differential Gear Set ax 30390 ? thanks, Mike

RC4WD makes a steel gear set and you can also use HPI 86014. From what ive read the Axial gear set is superior to the HPI. https://store.rc4wd.com/Differential...es_p_5169.html |

CPE sell a set as well, I've never tried them but would be hoping they're tough. I've used both Axial & HPI with similar success in U4 trucks & a MT They do break, I don't there's any way around it but I do get a decent run by shimming them nice & snug to get rid of excess back lash using an alloy diff cup, seem to be stiffer not letting the gears flex apart. keeping a close eye on the ring gear screws, making sure they don't loosen, another bonus of alloy cup, can use a little blue thread lock |
