Default Reciever Voltage Output.

OK, I know its the most basic of questions and I do understand a little about BEC and ESC.
So, I am using two servos and no Motors in my Racing Sailboats. One main servo for the Winch which hauls the sails in and out and one for the Rudder. I have never really been concerned about Electronics until this time as there has never been a need. Now there is a Need.

I will be using a larger Winch Servo that will accept anything from 4.8v to 8.4v and my new rudder servo the same thing. I want to know what kind of voltage I can expect to the servos having them plugged into the receiver and then having the 7.4v lipo plugged into the receiver. Im not concerned with burning up the servos or the receiver at this point. The point of my question is exactly how much voltage am I giving to my servos with this setup? I understand amperage draw but I am only really interested to know about the voltage.
Do the receivers only allow 5v to the servos, even though I have 7.4v plugged in? I was just curious.
I can do a simple wiring set-up and plug the reds from both servos directly into the battery and the rest of the wiring into the receiver. I just want to know if its really necessary in order to get my full 7.4 voltage to the servos.

I hoped I framed my wording clearly.

Thanks in advance,
Tex

None of the receiver's that I've ever used have had any sort of built-in voltage regulator, so 7.4v in = 7.4v out.

The voltage that the Rx puts out is typically controlled by the internal BEC on the ESC and doesn't change with battery voltage. But that only applies to Rx's are that are fed by an ESC.

In your case, because you're powering the Rx from the battery what TheLetterJ said is spot-on, Voltage in = Voltage out.

Oh you guys are very good indeed. Thanks for the clear answers.

i guess I could find out how much voltage with a volt meter if i can find in in the jungle that is my Garage. Just to make sure.

Thanks again for your efforts to answer.
