| Crx v2, I need/want more torque, would brushless help?
I’m new to crawling, and rc all together really ive had limited experience, anyway I want more torque from my crx I’ve been told it’s highly geared, would going to brushless help? Like a 2050 or a 2300kv, will that give me more torque? Or changing the pinion? It’s got a 55turn konect motor and a crappy esc from a carnage in it for now till I choose another or if I’m gonna go brushless I see it’s a bit of a debate wether or not brushless is good for crawling but I read that they have more torque? You can just install a smaller pinion or a larger spur or both, so it's not geared as high. Brushless has good options too. I have only used the Holmes hobbies puller pro for its good startup in brushless. Don't know if any cheaper options are worth it. 55t motors just turn slower, they dont realy make more torque unless you increase the voltage. Any 21t motor at half the gearing will blow the doors off any 55t motor. Stock gear ratio is about 32:1 on all the crawlers. Easy to get that up to 80:1 on almost any crawler. Yup, Just invest in a range for pinions and do some testing. Cheapest and easiest way to start tuning to your liking and terrain.

I forgot to answer you though, yes brushless has more torque. But look up brushless cogging on YouTube before you buy one. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

Thanks guys I’ll give a smaller pinion a go and upgrade the esc and see how it goes from there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
