| Axial Fest Badlands - What is "Axial Based"
So I'm trying to help a friend get situated and prepared for Badlands. He would like to build a rig specifically for AFBL; however, neither of us are sure of the definition of "Axial Based." Is an SSD Trail King, VS410, etc... qualified to run at AFBL? Thanks in advance. |

The Trail King is an interesting quandary because it is not an Axial so it shouldn't be allowed but every part of a Trail King could individually be installed on a SCXII as an aftermarket part (which I believe there are no restrictions on). I'd say if you are trying to sneak a TK into Axialfest, at least change to a set of Axial frame rails. |

Axial has a blog post that clearly defined what is "Axial based"

VS410 does fit though along with the TK, they both have a class as spelled out in that post

Both TK and VS410 fit just as last year looking at the new post for 2020 as posted above. Edit: actually you'd have to use an "Axial Gear Format" transmission for the TK to fit, my bad. Last edited by Xx Losungen xX; 02-14-2020 at 06:12 AM. |
