Hobbywing 1080 and flysky gt5 problem

I am trying to install a hobbywing 1080 on my truck but can't get past setting it up. I hold the set button and power it on and I get the beeping like I'm supposed too but when I push the set button for the neutral setpoints I get nothing other than the beep and flash stop. I know I'm doing it correctly because I can swap to my old reciever and radio and every works no problem.
It's something to do with the flysky but what do I need to do to make it work?

I had the same issue with a GT3C radio and a Hobbywing 1080. Researched it and had to switch the motor leads coming from the esc, and reverse the channel 2 (esc) setting on the radio. Tried it again and it programmed fine.

I ended up factory resetting the radio then rebinding. Worked no problem after that.
