Default 1/6 Accessories

Hi, new guy here, I am looking to purchase 1/6 accessories but am having a hard time finding items. I tried both Amazon and ebay with various searches but have come up with only a couple items.

What are some good rc websites that carry things such as:

Tent
Sleeping bag
Cooler
Tarp
Sand Ladder Recovery Board
among other things.

Thanks!

Hmmm? That's a good one. Not sure whats out there for 1/6 scale. Mostly everything is for 1/10. You may have to make some stuff or see if you can find a place that can 3d prints accessories.

I don't think RC shops are the best place to look for 1/6th accessories, there are not that many RCs of that scale ... better look at figurines and wargames shops, they should be a better place for 1/6th figures and their accessories.

A display tent would be something that you could look into. Sleeping bag is usually diy. There's a flask disguised as a 1/6 jerry can. The rest you can 3d print by upscaling any design.

Look into GI Joe accessories. The original 12" GI Joe is 1/6 scale.

Thanks everyone, I was able to get some more items. Those GI Joe items are very expensive since they are all vintage from the 60s and 70s.

3D printed accessories can be scaled up to 1/6. That's probably going to be your best option.

I'd be curious to see those 3D print projects. Put up a build thread here.

Dragon and Ultimate Soldier are also sources of 1/6 items, they are going to be military themed for the most part, but might be able to get some items you are looking for. I have a 1/6 scale RC Willys MB by Rochobby. Great rig actually and based on a 1/10 crawler chassis.

Good luck finding a tent, but, you can try sporting goods stores, if they have a tent that has been discontinued in their stock, you may be able to purchase the scale display tent, ( salesman sample) or they may just give it to you. Also try Goodwill stores.

Try here: https://www.minidisplaytents.com/ or here: https://www.gijoeelite.com/Diorama-1-6-Scale

I finally ended up making a canvas top for the M1 cargo trailer, you can see it here in my build thread on page 11: New Project (for me)

As far as accessories/ scale items, Hobby Lobby or Michaels has items for dollhouses that often fit the bill

I should stress that dollhouse scale is 1/12, which is exactly a half size smaller than 1/6. Not a good match at all, really, but a few items can sort of ‘scale’ as junior sized items of the real thing. A dollhouse shovel (like in the pic of your rig) can be a 1/6 entrenching tool or smaller compact “Jeep” shovel. That oil lantern can also be a smaller junior sized lantern (barely) just like Dietz lanterns are often large and small.

1/6 crawlers are a tad bit comically oversized which is why 1/10 is better.

Dollhouse accessories come in a couple different scales.

What are you, a Grinch/Scrooge, we use what we can, often create our accessories. The man asked for tips, take your trolling attitude somewhere else
