| Tips for better mounting of cage on SCX10 III?
Hi all. I’m sure this isn’t complex, but I’m new to the hobby and don’t have much laying around for parts. The issue: I installed an Injora rear cage on my 10 III Gladiator without much difficulty. While the rear functions like a hinge, a hard roll-back hit will push the cage off the bolt (green arrow in pic). I’m thinking about grabbing some thin metal strips and drilling a hole for the mount to make it more secure. Either that or try magnets above shock mounts and under the bed portion of the cage. Appreciate any tips. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Is it as easy as bending the tabs together to fully capture the bolt? Or does that interfere with serviceability?

Sorry, missed this reply. Shortly after posting, I put rigged up the original bed mounting connection to the bottom of the cage and then ran that. Ultimately, I felt there was too much extra stuff hurting my departure angle, so out came the Dremel. I cut things back, including frame rails a bit. And attached mounting posts to the cross-bar between the shock mounts. So far, so good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk | |
