Hello My name is Joćo, I'm from Portugal and I'm new to this forum. For what I've seen so far, looks this forum has a really good community. Thanks for receiving me I have a old crawler that my parents gave to me in 2009 or 2010 when I was a kid. For what I know it is a Redcat Rockslide RS10 wth a Lansu 3TD remote. Last year I picked it up, in order to get it running again, and changed the front servo because the original was broken. The remote had a broken trigger, but I managed to make it work with a small bent nail. Also the battery could only run for 5min before dying, but it ran nicely while it was on This year I wanted to fix those problems and start using the crawler like it was meant to be used, but after ordering a new battery and 3D printing a new trigger I haven't been able run the car... ![]() I've tried with the old battery and it does the same... The crawler just keeps beeping and doesn't respond to any remote input I've looked at videos, intruction manuals, other foruns, and I couldn't find anything that helped me. I'm not sure if it is the remote or not, because this is not the first time I took it apart and the other times everything was ok. I saw some people changing the receiver or using a different remote, but how do I know if a new receiver will work with the current remote or vice-versa? Stay safe |

I'd try to rebind the radio to the receiver. Not sure if you still have the manual for the RS10 or maybe you can download one as the rebinding procedure most likely will be in there. And welcome to RCCrawler! |

yeah...sounds like a binding issue. Try rebinding. As far as swapping receivers, stay with the same brand. Even though Redcat receivers are Fly Sky based, my new Fly Sky transmitter would not talk to the Redcat receiver. Seems they changed the protocol. For about $40, you can get a nice new Fly Sky tx/rx combo....GT3B I think I got. It also has a multi model memory. Good luck! |

Thanks for the fast replies! As for the rebinding, mine doesn't have those receivers that are shown in the videos or manuals (these ones: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon...._AC_SX522_.jpg)[IMG]) Mine has this Lansu LS-202-R (this one: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...KU8Fw&usqp=CAU) I can't see any rebind button on mine... I will check those remotes, thanks for the recommendations ![]() |

I have the same transmitter on a used RS10 I picked up years ago. At the time, I was able to download a manual for it. I don't recall having to re-bind it so I don't know if this procedure will work. Worth a try though. I can't see too much of the receiver in my RS10 but I can tell it is a 4 channel, 2.4GHz, and a Lansu. How to bind the receiver with the transmitter 1) Insert the bind plug into Channel 4 before switching on the receiver. 2) Switch on the receiver. The LED light will flash. 4) Press and hold the SEL button on the transmitter. The LED on the receiver will continue to flash. The radio is binding. When the receiver's LED is lit solid, binding is complete. Note: Repeat the above steps if binding fails. 5) Center the steering trim on the transmitter after binding is complete to set fail safe. 6) Remove the binding plug. LED Indicator: RAPID FLASHING: BINDING IS IN OPERATION. SLOW FLASHING: NO SIGNAL WAITING FOR OPERATION SOLID LIGHT: IN OPERATION NO LIGHT: RECEIVER IS OFF, BATTERY IS DEAD OR MISSING, RECEIVER IS DISCONNECTED OR BROKEN |

Thanks for the ideia, but sadly did nit work... The receiver doesn't have any LED, only the ESC has one. The ESC blinks and beeps, at the same time, slowly..., like every second does one beep and a flash I've tried many rebind procedures and tried to combine them, but with any result I'll probably try with a new transmitter and receiver if anything else I try doesn't work Once again, thanks a lot for all your answers, you are super helpful |

Yes, I'm not doing anything to the throttle while trying. Does it affect something?

For a quick test, you could try switching servo plug with ESC plug in the receiver. If it arms this way, it would confirm that throttle is not in neutral position (due to trimming or bad contacts / bad potentiometer). |

Double check the connections plugged into the receiver. The yellow or white wires should all be toward the inside with the black or brown wire to the outside edge of the receiver. If one of them is reversed the truck won't bind. Also when binding you need to hold the select button in on the radio....and THEN turn the power on to the radio. Once binding is complete turn off both the truck and radio, remove the binding plug, then all should be good. Also if that is the 4 wheel steer rockslide not just any radio will work and allow the 4 wheel steering option. You will need a higher end radio that allows for 4 wheel steering.

If your radio is the Lansu 3td and is 2.4 GHz the proper receiver should be a Redcat Racing E710. The picture you displayed is hard to see but the receiver looks different. If it is not the 2.4 ghz system that may be why it looks different. The early radios were the old AM style frequency.

im not seeing a bind plug in the reciver something was flashed on th3 screen that might be a bind plug but couldent tell ether way it dosent look like its installed on the reciver and you should probably unplug it and plug it back in instead of using the switch also you might try the bind plug in the 3rd channel if it dosent work try the 4th channel |

It looks like even the producer cannot advise on rebinding procedure :(. You should indeed try with another TX/RX. https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/red...su-2-4ghz.html |

Video explains much. The radio and receiver you are using are either AM or FM frequency based. Forget a bind plug, they should not have to be bound at all. Only the 2.4 ghz models should need binding. If the crystal frequency matches the crystal in the radio it should connect. You may have a damaged crystal (that is the silver thing plugged in the receiver with the frequency number on it, and the radio will have a crystal also located direct opposite side of the steering wheel under a flat black panel. One crystal will say RX (receiver) and the radio crystal should say TX (transmitter) and must be the same numbered frequency on each crystal. They are called Crystals because they are are fragile, my guess one may be damaged.
