Default Newbie here! First 1/10 Scale

Hello all

I got two SCX24’s for my son and I and we are officially hooked. I’m looking to get a 1/10 scale and was looking at the SCX10 III Gladiator. I need something that’s very capable and good for myself and the 12 year old. I’m a Spektrum guy. I am kinda invested in the smart system and batteries for all my planes and I have a Rustler 4x4 upgraded with smart technology so that’s also why I’m leaning toward Axial. Is there anything I should be aware of with these vehicles? Should I go a different route? Thanks!

To be aware of: They are highly addictive. Most of the name brand trucks are so good these days you can't go wrong with any of them from Redcat, Traxxas, Axial, Enduro, SSD, HPI, and a few others I dont have yet. Basically pick your flavor and hit the trails.

Oh, and most of the electronics included in most RTR trucks are mediocre at best. I personally reccomend kit versions for this and quality control during assembly reasons.

Well just in case you think you might be stuck using a Axial/Horizon hobby crawler you can get the Spekrtum ESC's, motors and batteries separately and use them on almost any crawler kit (some have space limitations)
