Hi guys. Stupid question I know. But can I use any plug with any battery. I have one that came with an xt30 but want to swap it to deans? Thanks |

I found that the deans wore out too quick and in 1 case with my emaxx.....the heat created by the electrical draw melted the solder and it let loose Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk | |

Pick a system that is common and available where you live and most people use in the area, and stick with it. Just a little soldering to change them out to whatever you want.

Used Deans years ago, gonna standardize on XT60s now

XT60 is where it's at, because you can get virtually every battery with one already installed. Deans go weak over time, and sometimes just randomly melt. For anything over 60A, I go with IC5, which are annoying as all get out, but they do work.

you can use any conector on any battery just as long as both sides use the same style of plugs just becarefull a battery using a xt30 plug is a vary low amp battery that battery will likely flame on before you melt a deans plug |

Another recommendation for xt60. Large contact area and solid connections. But the answer is yes. Choose a style you like and swap it! |
