Default Hi Lift Question:To lock or not to lock???

I got my Hi Lift togetgher and running last nite. During the first test run, I noticed it had a hard time get over my front door sil out to the porch. As soon as one of the tires lost traction it was useless. So, my question is should the rear diff be "locked"? Or should both diffs be locked?

Being it's just a removable pin to lock them, why don't you lock them both and see how you like it?
Personally their as worthless as a 1 wheel wonder unlocked.
If you're running on pavement, keep them open, if on dirt/rocks? I'd lock them both.

are you sure its a high lift? if it is and you built it you should know there is a pin for each axle that you insert behind the rubber plug on the axle case to have a locked or open diff.

The beauty of the hl, is just that, you can lock/ unlock with only screwing or uunscrewing the set pins on the diffs , i tried mine unlocked and inmediately i took of the diff covers and locked them, then i went crawling with it, the only thing is you loose some turning ability, but it's a good trade of
