Default Nob wiring Question. HELP!!!!

OK, I have a clod based rig. I purchased a Traxxas EVX Novak speed controller. Im guessing it will be powered by the 2 7.2 volt batteries.

I have a Traxxas receiver with 3 channels. I see one labeled B and the others 1, 2, & 3.

Questions:

Is the slot labeled B for a battery pack to supply power to the receiver?

Do I need a battery pack to power the receiver or when I plug in the line from the ESC to it will that power it? If so which slot should it be plugged into?

What channel should I plug into the receiver from the ESC?

What channel is for the steering servo?

Please help. I know these may be stupid questions to you all, but I'm new at this.

Thanks

Just plug the battery into the esc and plug the esc into the receiver. no need

for another battery. im not sure on the slots. the evx on my e-maxx is

plugged into the 2nd channel on my traxxas receiver. then i just plug my servo

into one of the other numbered channels and turn it on, see if they are right. one of the other

channels is for the steering and the other is for the gear shift button.

I don't think you use the battery ( B) slot.

You don't need to plug anything into the Battery slot on the receiver unless you WANT to run run a small receiver battery pack but it's optional since the EVX has battery elimination circuitry (BEC).

Channel 1 is for the steering wheel

Channel 2 is the speed control(EVX in your case)

Channel 3 is for the red switch on the radio(some use this for a DIG setup or modify it for rear steering, on the Emaxx it is used to switch the tranny from high and low gears).
