Hey, I was just wondering what you all think the most capable scale chassis was...I was looking at the reign products k2 3L, and the k2 3s, but I was wondering if you all have any opinions on them...They look like they have plenty of room compared to a lot of the other chassis out there ( I could cover the front and back bars w/ metal or plastic to have more room to set stuff on...b/c I want to have a light kit)...See I want to build a very capable trail truck, w/ 4 wheel steering for crawling, but I like the looks of a scale truck, so I really want a mix of the two...Do you guys know what chassis would be best suited for me? My price range is under $70...Thanks a ton for any help

Everyone has their opinion and personally, I like the MFM Racing chassis. It has lots of adjustability for the suspension and a million different options for mounting plates, winch servos, links, etc. without having to drill any holes.

I'd probably vote a K2-3L or 3S. For the price they make great trail trucks. The frame itself isn't too scale though.

The MFM looks like the one to go w/, I really do like all of the mounting holes it has...but do you guys think it would have enough articulation to make a good crawler as well? It looks to be really adjustable, so can you adjust it to get more articulation, but would you have to raise it up really high to allow the extra articulation? Btw, the only thing that would be really scale would be the body, w/ lights...I don't want it to be super scale, just a little, what I really liked about the scale chassis though was the extra mounting room they provide Last edited by rcdudegermy10; 08-21-2007 at 10:14 PM.

I personally would buy the K2-3L because the guy that sells and developed it is so cool! We could use 10,000 of him running around

Just wondering, why do you guys vote for the k-2, is it just b/c of the nice guy?? Or what would be the benefits of it over the MFM?? I really do like both, but just out of curiosity

It works good. Period. I've had all the K2s. The original hand cut K2-3S, the machine cut 3S, and the machine cut 3L. They just work real good. I still super enjoy my 3L. And run it often.

How do the 3L and the 3S crawl on rocks (could it crawl up a curb)?...is there enough mounting room for everything (in one picture it looks like a kind of table is formed out of the front and rear pieces that stick out)? I think I'd go w/ wheel king axles if possible, and do you think that 8 T-Maxx turnbuckles would work for the links or do the upper and lower links need to be different lengths?

What do you guys think of the K2-4? I have one in my hands and was wondering if I should do leafs or 4-link. I'm leaning towards 4-link since I have everything to do it.

the MFM scale chassis is awesome and is extremely adjustable. you can set it up for practically any wheelbase or transmission. it is very durable and will last you a lifetime. check out the review: http://www.rccarreviews.com/rc-revie...sis-review.htm
