| Looking to clone my Tj
I'm new at this and have been reading for a while but still don't know much. Anyway I'm looking to build a good crawler that I can make it look like my Tj. I'm not sure where to start. I figured the first thing would be to get a body and axles and build around that. What motor, axles, body....things like that should I go with. Thanks!

I wanted to do the same thing and came up with these. Both are are similar with tlt axles, stampede trannys, 645 servo, TR2 ECS in one and new Rooster in the other. These are very fun to drive. I have a couple of comp 2.2 rigs that I run on my rockpile and are very capabile. The same rockpile is more challenging with these as the battery weight is up higher making the cg higher so they will roll easier if you aren't careful. Kinda more like a 1:1 rig. My K2-3L rig with basher body: My custom with body painted to match my full size rig: |
