Default futaba FP-2PB+hilift?

I have an old Futaba FP-2PB 2-channel radio. will this work with a new f350 hilift kit?

checked teh RCP site for their hilift kit and they say you need a 4 channel...why the 4 channels?

you need a 4 channel radio because of the 3 speed transmission esc and gearing.. the transmission needs multiple positions.. and a standard 3 channel single throw tx cant do it..

here is an example of what im talking about.. this is the shift gate that the bruiser used to use and alot of the guys use on the f 350.. http://rc4wdstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=83
3 forward positions 3 reverse..
