Default Bend my clod tie rod?

I have been looking around here for a while and have a question. I have a clod with CVD's and jp's knuckles. I see other much more experienced guys running steering in the front with CVD's. Here's my question, a lot of those guys have a straight tie rod that connects the 2 knuckles to each other but if I try to do that, my link hits the front of the case before I get maximum throw. What am I missing?

You should post a picture of what you have there; to make things more clear.

This is how mine is setup

You can see at full throw, the links would contact the case if not for the bends in both the tie rod and drag link

Here is where I first started grinding before the CVD's arrived, then I realized that grinding would not be enough
