any thing is possible, you just have to put a lot of work into it some times.

its just a lexan body, i think. and you could make a cool 2wd sand buggy type chassis, and throw some paddles and the mohawk lookin front tires on it. it would be pretty cool.

I've got a couple of those (I've got a couple of anything volkswagen related) and they would be a horrible base for a crawler. You'd be better off just using the body and dropping it on a different chassis.

The kit he is looking at is a full kit, not just a lexan body. It is a on road car though

I've got a problem :-( haha. My girl doesn't care how much VW crap I collect as long as I don't try to decorate the house with it. It stays in the garage. haha Here's a few of my toys, about 2/3 of them are still in boxes from the recent move. Here's my 67, it's now bagged though and the plate relocated to the stock location: A couple of my RCs that are VW based. The 67 (same car mentioned in the 1st post here) is being painted to match my real 67. I've got one of the original release 67's too! I did this as a joke! It's about all a stock TLT is good for. Anyways, back on topic... The 67 kit is a horrible start for a crawler, but the body alone could be dropped onto pretty much any crawler chassis. Some trimming might be in order for tire clearance. I keep my 67's street though!

| It would look cool but performance would lack.. the VW beaatles are very haeavy on the body etc... so i would make the 1:1 very unstable.

The micro body I pirated from a Tamiya "Monster Beetle Junior" kit. It takes some trimming to get it to clear the tranny but is a pretty good fit! It's just held on with velcro. Again, I put that body on there before they released the actual "Micro Baja" version. Thats an older pic, those cars have all been further modded and stuff. I've got a couple of the Mini Z's as well! A black GTI and one of the Monster Bajas that just came out. I had to get the GTI to match my daily driver!

sorry to go off topic, but this one reminded me of my old '66. About the same color, except I had the taillights and antenna frenched into the bodywork...and a black stinger sticking out the back. Quote:
