Default Wheely King Extending

I've had my T-Maxx for awile now, and I was considering getting a wheely king...I chose it over the ax10 b/c of the price, and because I want more of a project truck that I can do things w/ myself (this way everything isn't already done for me)...So, I was wondering w/ the Wheely king, can you use 4 T-Maxx turnbuckles to extend the front and rear, replacing the plastic links that come srock on it?

btw, I'm new to this site...I came on a long time ago, but didnt have the time or $$ to put into a crawler, mainly the latter...

Also is the wheely king simple to convert to 4ws? Can you just buy a front steering assembly for the rear? I saw many people that had the servo mounted on the axle and I thought that the stock position for the wheely king was in the chassis area...

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Actually I extended my Wk using revo turnbuckles, but as long as the rods are longer than 100 mm and shorter than 150 mm you can do about anything with your truck. One problem with mine though is that it's running a 13 inch wheelbase. For your steering go onto RCGuy.com and they have a custom over axle steering plate for the wheely king that you can mount on both front and back for around $10. One problem with the 4ws on a wheely king though is then you need a new pack instead of a stock stick cause you can't mount it on the rear axle anymore. If you need any help on your build just contact me cause my rig turned out perfect and I got pics if you need them.

tou can buy traxxas turnbuckles to extend the wheelbase. Thats what i did at first. Harley has a template for the axle mounted servo so if you wanted to do that contact him. It helps out alot for turning radius and puts weight right where you need it.
