| NOTE: I KNOW THEY ARE TOYS PLEASE DONT MAKE THIS A JOKE... ok so my gf got me a crawler....which is a toy..but she doesnt know that..and i didnt feel like telling her look that isnt a real r.c crawler....so i decide to keep it because i like the body... its this one..the jeep..my brother had the land rover a while back... ![]() well...i have a couple a question since this will also be my first build... eventually i will upgrade everything...from chasis ,to axles to suspension to everything.....!!... but so far i want to mess around with w.e i have... this is my problem.. ![]() no drive shafts in this thing...so when im "crawling"....if it looses traction the front all the power goes there ...so its not a 4x4 ..its an awd...which sucks....for crawling... ![]() this is where each axle connects to...each of them has its own conector... i was thinking to cut one of them and bridge it with the other one..so both come out from one....can i do it?.... |

| You dont need to do the wire splice thing. If you are serious about using those axle, just pull them apart and lock the diffs. I am pretty sure this will solve the problem of no traction you are experiencing. Also do a search on "clod stall". After re-reading your post, I think this may be what you are experiencing. |

| I have that jeep, and I dont really have too many good things to say about it. In the axle, there are several seperate gears throughout the axle to make a lower ratio. You say that it sends all the power to the wheels without traction. That's not true. It just doesnt have a low enought gear ratio to pull itself up steep grades. And the suspension is too stiff But Ive beat it up, rolled it broken off body parts, made many water crossings, and dropped it many times, and it just keeps workin. I actually just bought stuff tonite to make a custom tube chassis, and I will use the parts from that jeep and upgrade as I go. They do have potential though. Good luck with your build.
