Default Tlt axle and drive shafts mount up?

I have a problem, when I mount my drive shafts yokes up to the axle, I tighten the screw down, and they turn sideways. I drew a picture in paint if that will help. Will drilling a hole threw the axles shaft take care of this? This is a TLT axle.

So, could anyone help me? This is all that I need to hook-up to get my rig running! If someone has pics on how-to hook-up the driveshafts, that would be awesome!

Which yokes? The rustler/stampede plastic or steel type? Or did run something else? It would help.

Are you lining up the set screw with the flat of the TLT pinions? If not it could do what your describing, the back of the yoke is slipping down into the flat of the pinion and the grub screw is just pushing it farther out of whack as you tighten it.

They are Traxxas plastics. I think I'm lining everything up right, and im pretty sure I have the flat end on the right side when I line it up.

I've never used the plastic yokes, do they not have 2 grub screws per yoke? One for each side?
The metal ones do.

The plastic ones do not have grub screws. They have a pin thats threaded a little on one end so the threads grip into the plastic of the yokes.
The metal ones have 2 grub screws but to get them to work properly on your TLT stock pinion shafts you will need to grind off the small lip at the end of the yoke. It is only about 2 or 3 mm tall but it must be ground down to allow the metal yoke to go far enough up on the pinion so the grub screws will bite into BOTH sides of the yoke.

One side will screw up against the flat spot on the pinion shaft then you just snug up the other grub screw to keep everything centered on the pinion.
Do a search for metal yokes, or pede shafts and you should find a picture that shows what I'm talking about.
Hope this helps.

I'm new to this site, but not to forums as such.
And i too would like to know what the problem is here (i was thinking of doing pinis something simmiler to this myself)
Drilling a hole through would help, but if the dimiter of the out put shaft from the TLT axle and the diamter of the hole in the yoke differ (chances are that the yoke is bigger). There would then be some play in the joint.

BTW how are you attaching the shaft to the center diff?

This helps a bit. So basically I need to get metel yokes? Yeah, it doesn't have 2 grub screws for both sides.... And Its connected to the center diff by a stampede slider shaft.

You can use plastic yokes, but you need to cut off the same part that you do on the metal yokes.
