Default 3 yr old

My 3 yr old has woren out my nylint rock crawler, Where do I go from here? He is pretty good with it. What is the next step, I think he needs better steering control but still needs crawler speeds. He also needs a different controler forward and reverse are hard with tiny hands. He is proficent enough that I will build us a nice truck if I can find one rhat suits our needs. Any help or direction would be helpful. Thanks GH

I started w/ a nylint and have since bought two TLT's. Only one is built as funds have been tight, but it is a much better platform than the Nylints. If I was in your shoes though I would go w/ either an Axial AX10 or the HPI Wheely King. The Wheely king is RTR, so if your looking for a quik easy start, with a few mods I hear it is quite capable. THe Axial is a kit leaving you to choose electronics and such, so it requires a little more knowledge to get rolling.

I would still go with the ax10,a purpose built crawler. As for electronics you can find enough info to cause your head to explode if you look.I would start with a brushed motor/esc because of price and you can grab used ones wicked cheap.Check the electronics thread and read for an hour, you will either find more answers than you need or not be able to sleep at night from all the confusion

AX-10 or WK. My 5yr old has a AX-10. He has been running RC since he was 18 months. He has been racing since he was 3.

I would recommend an old JR X3 or 2 radio. This way you can control the amount of steering and throttle he has at his fingertips. Most kids only know to go full throttle or Full brake.

Get the Ax10.. Not the wk... The ax10 might be a little more work but well worth it...
