Default Clod based Basher

I'm going to build a Clod based basher. It will be some thing that will be built more for speed than any thing. What I'm wondering is what should I use for a chassis. I would like to make a tuber. Should I use hollow tube or solid? It will take quite a bit of abuse so it has to be strong. I will also be running two batteries. Also if any one has any pics of any thing like this that they have built post up some pics.

tuber and basher usually dont go together.

for a simple great basher chassis try the CPE Evolution chassis

Thanks for the props. Basher trucks typically don't use tube frames, especially with two battery packs mounted to them.

Our Sniper chassis offers even more performance over the base Evolution chassis, and can still hold dual battery packs if required:

For a quick basher, anywhere between 17T to 21T motors would be fine. The Team Orion Method R motors are a well built inexpensive motor. Venom Fireball motors are anothe alternative.

both of those motors are good, i would use the venom ones as they are very cheap.

I made a really ugly chassis myself out of chopping board and square aluminum tube (is that the right word?), put in Johnson 550's (same as Titans but no sticker so they are $5-10 each) with an EVX, my Clod will stay even with a stock Dirt Thrasher buggy, and then run it over without noticing! And yes, the batteries are held in with tape for the moment, still got lots of work to do....

use solid rod for a custom tube frame, actual tube will bend in a hard rollover.
