Default nimh vs. lipo run time

right now im running a 3600 7.2v 6 cell battery and im getting huge run times outa it like 1 and 1/2 hours what size lipo bat would i need to compare to this (run time and power) because i want to get one because they just seem better plus weight the only thing is they are so freekin expensiv so if i could get some prices on the batteris youtell me about that would be great thanks

I have a Common Sense 2s 10c 2000mah Lipo and I get around or more run time that that. I have a real close setup as you.

what kind of motor r u running, and gearing to be getting 1 1/2 hour run time?

i have a 55t integy motor, a rooster crawler esc and stock ax10 gearing sorry but i dont know exactly what that is

Well, to match the run time you will need a 3600 mah 2 cell. A mah is a mah, no matter how small.

do lipos have normal connectors like tamya or do i have to do something special and can i use my rooster crawler esc

and where is a place that has lipos the cheapest

stick with the ni mh if your after runtime.
a ni mh you can run dead.
a lipo you can only use about 1/3 or youll have your self a nice puffy paper weight

most of the lipos i buy have no connector, the last batch i bought came with deans compatible connectors though, nice cause thats whay ive used for the last decade lol

You can use whatever connector you want. You do need a lipo compatable charger though. Also the lipo will keep a higher voltage for most of its charge instead of trailing off like a NiMh cell.

Naw, they run down about 90%. And every one I have holds about 200-400 more mah than it sayes on the pack.

maybe i will just go saddle pack is there a saddle pack that will give simmilar run time cuz alll i can find are 1500 and stuff, and can you please send me links, and links to where i can get the mounting plates for the saddle pack

Nope, 1500 is about the biggest that will fit on the axle.
