| More Speed?
Could the AX10 be made to go faster for general playing around by using a higher turn motor or gears? I like the idea of rockcrawling and the function of the rigs, but I would enjoy a truck that would be fun to just drive around the yard and in the woods. There aren't many rocks where I live, just lots of mud. Thanks in advance for helping the noob.

It sounds like you are more apt to purchase a 4x4 wheely king. I heard it is great for what you want to do. Besides with a few mods it is a very capable crawler. And to answer your question you could change gears and motors for speed in a ax-10. Here is a link for the wheely king. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...FQmgGgodSh9ltw |

Buy the AX-10 and put in any motor you want. It's just like any other RC on the planet. You can install what ever you want, just depends on how much money you want to spend...... Don't buy a WK. Toss in a 27 turn stock motor and a 8 cell pack. That'll get those tires turning decently. |

If I don't plan on doing any comps, whats wrong with the WK? Is there something specific, or do you think it sucks because yours is better?

| In my opinion...
Of course you can try to run with a 27t motor or change some gears, but if you got the chance (money/time) buy a second truck for what you want to do. 4x4 Wheely king or maybe the Tamiya Hilux may be fun to drive in the yard and you will also have three speed transmision |

The AX-10 is pretty damn tough and come with comp level gear which means no real reason upgrade from those parts. Toss in a scale chassis and you can claim to have a scale rig. Don't listen to the n00bs that tell you to buy a WK... listen to the old timers that have seen the world before RTR RC's | |
