Default New Guy With A Battery Question

I would like to know what everyone is using for batteries with there crawlers? I am doing my research before I buy any and would like to know what everyone is using. I will be running the new Novak goat system. Thanks for all your replies and I will have many more questions.

I see alot of the Elite 1500 2/3A packs. Nice small cell that still gives good run times. I have used an 8 cell pack of them on my rig for a while now. The size of the pack is only 1.25"x 1.125"x 2.625", so it fits almost anywhere.

What size of rig? I am currently using 2/3a 1500's on my ax, and I am using a 3 cell 2300mah a123 pack on my super. both get about 20-30 minutes of good horsepower, but I like the a123's since they only take 15mins to charge .

I run a 6 cell Ni-cad . I reconfigure it and run it on the front ,top links on my AX-10. It's cheap and heavy and lasts long time !

im runnin 8 cell sub c on my k23l based titan. Its more of a basher/semi scaler than a comp truck. Dad is running a 6 and 8 cell (depending on his mood) 2/3a pack on the front axle of his AX10. i like the sub c cuz they are 3300mah so they last forever.

Just remember Novak says you can only run up to 7 cells with the Goat. Get a custom 6 or 7 cell 2/3a pack

I wonder how accurate and true that is though. I wonder how much of a safety factor they put in there. I have run 9 cells on a Tekin 2 and now constantly run 8 cells on it...and it also says it's only good to 7 cells.
