Tire Weights? How much weight is everyone running in the front tires? |
Zero. |
i added about 2-3oz per front tire to my rig. I may be adding a bit more. Its not "necessary" but in some cases it can help. run you rig add some weight, run it again, see if it does better and decide fron there. |
Each wheel has 12 to 14 1/4oz weights for a total of 3oz+ inside it. Same front & rear. I also have another 12 or so stuck to the axle housings themselves. I have a pretty high COG on my WK so I need more to help lower it... or try to lower it. |
5oz front 3 oz rear works great "thumbsup" |
? i have 9oz in the front and 7oz in the rear perfect for hill climbs |
What kind of rig? 2.2, super, scale, 1/6? my ax-10 3-3/4oz front, 2-3/4oz rear. |
My 2.2 fronts weight 9 oz total, wheel, tire and weights inside of the rim. not sure on rears, but much lighter, maybe too light. |
ax-10 7oz each front 3.75 each rear losi rock claws cut foams works like a dream |
ax10 losi rock claws star cur foams also trimmed side wall 7.5 oz each front 3 oz each back |
So what is the preferred method of putting the weights in? Loose weight, like BBs, or secured weight, like the ones you can stick inside the wheel? |
Each of my wheels use 12oz of weight. This is what I attached to each of my wheels http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXK204&P=ML |
