Default Gear question

I have an ax-10 transmission I'm going to be running in one of my scale rigs, and my 83t spur gear rubs on the output yoke, what spur gear should i use for the transmission

So your 83t Rubs? What yolks are you using? A 93t just barely clears the the ax10 yolks.

I have run a 90 with no clearance problems. A pic of your setup would help to find the problem.

If yours rubs, get something smaller. You could take your truck in to your LHS and see what fits, or measure the diameter and go look at some smaller gears.

I'm using the white plastic yokes because thats what i have right now, and most of the gears at the LHS don't match what i have on my motor, so looks like i have to get $17 metal yokes. ouch

$17.00 isn't a lot to spend, to me that equates to around £8.50/£9.00, but if I went to my LHS for them I would be paying around £17.00 for them ($35.00). Just spend that little bit extra if that is what is required to get the job done.
