Default gearing/servo/BEC questions

Recently I traded a set of 36" 1:1 tires for a clod based crawler. I have been enjoying it and the great deal I got but there are still a few issues to address that I haven't been able to fix with the parts that came with the truck. I am a newb and have much to learn and have been reading through a lot of material but haven't read about this issue. All of these parts on the rig came with it so let me know if some are inadequate.

Specs:
65t Integys w 13t Pinion
Tekin Rebel 2
4200/1500 6 sticks sub c's I think
JB Locked F&R
Tower 995 servos
14" WB
TQ3 radio
6.5" Mashers on Beadlocks with BB's

A few PICS

QUESTION-- On climbs that are near vertical sometimes the front tires spin too easily and the rears won't move. Do I need 9t pinions or 7/8 cell packs?

Also my front servo is crapping out after 2 weeks. I have servo savers on now (probly too late) is there a way to get more power to the servos or do I just need a HiTec 5645? A guy at the LHS said he runs battery packs for the servos? Also will the 5645 plug into my radio box or do I need adapters?

Finally, what is/does a BEC mean or do?

Thanks

BEC= Battery elimination circuit, it is what powers your servos so that you do not need a seperate battery pack on your receiver. There is a pretty good BEC built into your Tekin Rebel but, a Castle Creations BEC MAY help your steering servos.

I think that the 995 tower servos are a little small for a Super and you whould be better off with something bigger

As far as the front tires spinning to easy, that is a normal thing with clods. There are ways to make it better. I am not a clod guy so someone else will need to chime in with some help.

Thanks. Perhaps lower pinion tooth count on the rear motor would help...

I think that is 1 of the countermeasures for it. I'm sure if you search for clod stall you will find some more. wish I could help more but I am a shafty guy.
