Default Firm Springs?

Just got mine and find out that I got a set of super firm spring (blue ax30217) in my scorpion. Do you have the same set of spring as mine? I thought that they will give us a medium one. Any idea?

You only get 4 blue firm springs with the kit. But they do offer super soft to super firm as an option

I spent Christmas trying springs. Personal preference plays some role in selection, but I also found the greens in the rear worked best. I tried whites up front, was okay, I tried Traxxas red springs and I liked that the best.

I also limited the shock travel 10mm front/rear with inner spacers. Seems to work much better in general.

I have been doing a bunch of searching, and some are running a firmer spring in the left rear to help with the dreaded torque twist. Any thoughts?

Just add one of the spacers that came with the kit to that shock.

I don't get much, if any torque twist with my set up.

For very cheap you can try for yourself, or maybe someone that has tried it will chime in.

I use all Axial green coded springs on mine, softer than the kit supplied, and no preload spacers. Put the limiter on the inside, and I used fuel tubing of some length on the outside, could actually be the same size as the kit's limiter, I don't like a lot of flex. But the real trick is the upper links on the TCS Boomerang.

Using the same spring rate on both sides makes for a well balanced truck.

Very nice! I have read a few of your write up's. I did think of building my own boomawrang to try out. Right now I have done the CKCC conversion, and I flipped my trans back to stock. so I still have some testing to do. Thanks so much for the info.

thanks eepee I think I'll try this too I converted the front to 4 link by drilling holes on the very edge of the stock servo plate & fitting the rod ends underneath between the axle & servo plate, just had to put a small washer under each screw for a little extra clearance. It works great, anyone else done it this way? I'll use the extra servo plate for the rear & do the same thing Mounting the links like that doesn't make the rear end walk around funny or anything?

Nope, nothing funny happens. Nothing noticeable anyways.

I'm running the axial red springs all around with 60 wt oil in all excet the left rear. I have 100 wt in the left rear with a med spacerto combat torque twist. I also have the boomerang and spacer in the shock bodys to lower the CoG. Works well for me.
