12 tooth pinion and the stock 87 tooth spur gear paired with the highest wind motor you can find, and I believe that would be an Integy 85 turn or something similar.

I am sitting here going why does Novak make a 55t crawl motor... I thought the lower the number xxt the slower it crawled

This is what Im looking to buy

Dont want to spend hundreds on brushless...yet

The BEC is a good idea right?

Im slowly getting back in to RCs again.

With the Rooster Crawler, you won't need the BEC. The Rooster has a 6 volt 5 amp BEC built in.

You don't want your crawler to be too slow; sometimes wheelspeed is necessary.

When you install a "slower" motor your sacrificing speed and mostly torque which are sometimes the biggest factor.

DUde im a noob and that is why I posted here... please spell it out for me:-(

is that a brushless system... is it worth it?

I want something that will last and will do the job

I dont like bottom of the line. because I dont like to have to replace things I bought... Im building this crawler from the ground up and would like to do most of the buying once... (I know for the most part it is impossible but you get my idea)

Novak Rooster Crawler & 55T Novak Brushed $110.00 - $125.00 for the combo.
I like brushed for crawling
brushless is still a bit jerky at slow speeds.
Thats just my .02

Good to hear... I still have my mind set on the Novak crawler kit, for both my upcoming buggy and my brothers axial kit.

the higher the cell number on the battery means the longer the battery is going to run? or the more power the batter has?

I thought it was just run time, the voltage was the power, or is it the amps?

I used to run the 4200s in a 6pack

another noob question out of the way
