Default ESC or Servos

What would you upgrade in the Wheely King first?
High torque servos or a Rooster Crawler ESC?

Servo is weak but with the 6 volts the Crawler esc will give it will increase torque a bit. On the other hand, higher torque servos at 4.8 volts would work too.

I'd do servo. If you can't turn you might as well park it. Servos are pretty cheap. You can get decent high torque servos for under $40 easy.

Yeah a servo like the Hitec 645MG 133 oz. of torque for under $40. Good looking truck by the way.

I second this. The stock ESC is not the best but that mg945 servo is a lot of bang for the buck.

I agree. Get a servo. That one would be a great choice.

You can get the servo at Holmes Hobbies. If you really wanna make the servo humm, for another $20 you can run the Castle BEC and crank up the power going to your servo. The MG945'S will handle 7.2 volts.

You'll never have enough power turning your tires. The servo on my 2.2 will nearly swing the rear of the truck around if the fronts wedged in a crack. It wouldn't bother me to have more turning power

Holmes Hobbies has anything you need for power in your WK. John will hook you up if you want power.
