how do you guys mud your trucks without destroying your electronics and motors? i just have to know , this is something that i have always wanted to try. |
I don't. My rigs never get wet or muddy. I just have way too much respect for them (and the amount of cash into them). Plus I'm an anal retentive SOB, so...I don't want to be cleaning them all the time.:flipoff: |
well i saw in the video section a video of guys a bunch of guys running their trucks completly under water and keep on truckin, i would like to know how they get them that water tight , i know from past experiance under normal circumstances you just cant do that. |
If you search you will find some very detailed threads about waterproofing but basically you put all the electronics in a balloon and seal it with a zip tie and some grease. Believe it or not the batteries and motor are all actually waterproof any way and that just leaves the servo. You can buy spray plasti-dip and coat the servo to waterproof it. I tried all of those and even sealed my electronics in a small ziploc tub but they still always got wet. Now i just have them mounted at the top of the chassis and don't go deep enough to put them under but I can still go through water over the wheels. |
