looks more like a pro truck but it still looks sick............

how's it jump? I can't imagine it would handle too well in the air unless the stuff on the right side of the chassis balances out the weight of the battery. other than that it looks fantastic. very realistic

Cool"thumbsup"

Hey Mnster,

Where did you get the body? I know it is a New Era body, but I could not find it anywhere. I built me a trophy truck/CORR Pro 2 a long time ago and the body I used has been discontinued. This one might work if I can find one. Thanks.

Jumps way better then I thought it would. Just straight out launches perfect, ramps really kick the truck into the air. I mean I'm not going to drive it like I drive my stampede. Two foot of air under the truck is about the most it's going to see. I designed this as a rally type vehicle, not a jump machine. The truck is pretty well balanced the motor hangs a ways out the side. With the 6 cell pack it is a little heavier on one side, with the 3C lipo it's nearly perfectly balanced. Suspension needs a bit of tuning the axle sort of rebounds on a rough landing though that is probably do to the tires. Needs a rear sway bar to sort of leans. But, handling is remarkably predictable honestly handles better then some of my old buggies.

Basicly a Kyosho f-150 Landmax body, it's not molded the best has bubbles and creases but for the price and size its awesome."thumbsup" It's huge used a whole can of paint. No decals or window masks, hence the crappy masking tape window mask job. I'm working on a grill and headlights though.

I got mine on Ebay.

Although I know rpp hobby carry's them now.

These wheels were the main trick to get the look right. The rear wheels are offset 10mm a piece to make up for the narrow Axial axle. Where as the front is running zero offset.

Made a cheesy basement bash video.

Soya brought his class 1 buggy to play with. Yes those are trailing arms."thumbsup"

Found that the suspension was binding at full droop. So it has about twice the rear travel that was shown above.

Despite all that flex it's actually really stable.

Better outside video later this weekend maybe...

i love it! it jumps really well, actually looks like a 1:1 trophy truck.

Slyp Dawg 06-04-2008 04:27 PM

that thing is awesome! the Class 1 didn't seem to want to get much air time, though. the dude would hit the jump at as fast as he could get it and it would still barely get the front tires off the ground. the trophy truck looks really realistic when it's in motion. and when it's sitting still. kinda inspired me to do something with my Axial, hehe
