WOOHOO! The wife has given me the OK to get one! I can't wait...

For those that have some now, are the wheels really shallow offset (like old-style 'pede rears) or does it just look that way?

I ask because the stock wheels are UGLY and I think a decent set of 'locks would look much better.

BTW, Has anybody on the "inside" heard if there will be aftermarket bodies for these things? Like Actual Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Nissan, etc.?

I know the old standard 1/10th bodies ain't gonna fit... that thing looks closer to 1:6!

Damage report:
After about 15 packs run through I've only:
Bent 1 Shock shaft
Pulled a shock cap off

I can't believe how much abuse this thing takes. Granted it's not hauling ass but last friday when I was jumping over 6 foot gaps and missing at times I figured something would let loose. (working on video right now)

Good luck with the wait from Tower, it might be a while. No one on any forums I go has had a pre-order filled from them yet and they just pushed out the date to mid June now.

Besides, it felt good for me to go buy mine at my LHS yesterday. I don't normally buy vehicles there for the same $ reasons you have, but they really do deserve some of my business as they're good guys and would help me out if I ever needed it.

The good part is, I'm in no big hurry. when it gets here, it gets here. Almost everyone is BO, so what the hell. Even Ultimate had no clue, so it's win win for me.

Yea no biggie thou this place is much cooler then traxxas forum anyway!!!

And even thou the slash isn't gona set the ground on fire with its out the box speed, It jumps real well and handling is nice and plush! It won't break if you case a jump (or more like nose dive into the landing ramp!) So far all I've done is pull on side of the rear bumber off the chasie no biggie snaped right back in place.(think it happined when I got hung up on a branch?)

pigeonfarmboy Looks killer flat black!!

Exactly

Although it can be done on the inside if you glass bead the outside. Then it does not scrape off.
