Default ~my SLASH~

preordered from Corey at RPP, i requested a blue one, just came in

i had a clod body here at work so i threw it on for size comparison.

my only complaint so far is there is too much kick up in the front suspension. it looses nearly 1.25" of WB from full droop to full compression , but i know why traxxas did this, they knew kids would be hiting everything and snagin those front wheels, the extreme kick up saves parts, allowing the suspension to absorb the blow as apposed to ripping the a arms off the pins.
cant wait

Default my brushless slash, VXL power

I was really disapointed stock, but had planned on going brushless anyeway so I guess it wasn't that bad.

So my Slash is now running a older 3000 nimh 6 cell nimh w/ a Traxxas VXL and deans plug.

On you-tube here but let me tell you, 97 degrees out there in the parking lot and I am beat. Ran 1 pack and was glad it didn't last any longer, I needed to cool off.

I assume the VXL is the Traxxas brushless system?

Default sidewinder 5700

Hey guys, did a search but couldnt find answer. well after installing my sidewinder 5700 into my slash, i had a few problems 1st. it was taking off on its own after it was a few feet from me(Dx3.0). Found out the wire was almost ripped off my reciever, so fixed that
2nd after running it for a few mins it tends to cut off completely. thought it might be getting hot and it was a bit warm so i switched pinions and still same thing. there is a setting for2.4ghz on the castle link, dont really understand it though any ideas?

I drove one over the weekend that was stock out of the box with a 7 cell pack and it was drifting and pulling the front wheels off the ground. I think a few of the Louisiana guys are planning on 8 cells
